Privacy & cookie policy
How we handle personal data under the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the GDPR, and which cookies this website sets. Last revised 12 March 2025.
1. Who is responsible
Nordveld Tax Partners AS, organisation number 924 618 037, Dronning Eufemias gate 16, 0191 Oslo, Norway, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about data protection may be sent to personvern@nordveld.no or by telephone to +47 22 84 63 10.
2. What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, company, e-mail address, telephone number, organisation number.
- Assessment answers submitted through the tax check questionnaire.
- Engagement material — accounts, tax returns, ownership information and correspondence, where you become a client.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, where you consent to analytics cookies.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to an enquiry or tax check | Consent, and steps prior to a contract | 12 months from last contact |
| Delivering an engagement | Performance of a contract | 10 years (statutory bookkeeping and advisory records) |
| Anti-money-laundering identification | Legal obligation | 5 years after the client relationship ends |
| Website analytics | Consent | 14 months |
| Invoicing and accounting | Legal obligation | 5 years after the financial year |
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to third parties for marketing. Data is disclosed only to: our data processors (hosting, e-mail and document management, all within the EU/EEA and bound by a data processing agreement); public authorities where we are legally obliged to disclose, including Skatteetaten and, where the Anti-Money Laundering Act applies, Økokrim; and your own advisers where you have asked us to co-operate with them.
5. Your rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to or restrict our processing, and request a copy in a portable format. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Requests are answered within 30 days. If you believe we are handling your data incorrectly, you may complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
6. Security
Documents are exchanged through an encrypted client portal rather than ordinary e-mail. Data is stored on servers within the EU/EEA, access is restricted to the advisers assigned to your file, and all staff are bound by professional confidentiality that continues after employment ends.
7. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Necessary cookies are required for the site to function and are set without consent; all others are set only after you have accepted them in the consent banner. You may change your choice at any time using the button below.

8. Changes to this policy
We revise this policy when our processing changes or when the law requires it. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page. Material changes affecting existing clients are notified by e-mail.
This page describes our own handling of personal data. It is not tax advice and does not form part of any engagement letter. For our commercial terms, see the engagement letter issued before work begins.
